This is going off topic, but I was listening to the radio today and a young man who had a five-year scholarship to college had been put in jail because a young girl had told police that she had been raped by him. He was sent to jail for FIVE years, and they had found audio of her admitting that she was LYING, and they had released him.
Really? Five years of someone’s life was ruined because of something so foolish. Five years of scholarship money was wasted, because of someone else who had slandered his reputation.
And actually rape victims are too scared, TOO AFRAID, to tell ANYONE!! And to take it lightly is just……I can’t even find the right words.
This wasn’t something that I found funny, not at all.
There are dozens of people getting raped everyday, and people’s lives are being ruined, even taken away because of such vile acts.
He may have apologized, but it wasn’t right of him to make a serious matter such as this into something petty than it actually is.
